The field of medicine is an extremely vast field and has an infinite amount of opportunities present and different kinds of professions that can be adopted while staying in this field. These options are based on one’s interest and also on other various themes. They are either research-based, office-bound, clinical or also non-clinical jobs along with public health or the most in-demand positions. All the jobs require particular kinds of certification and licensing with a specific kind of experience to work as a nurse in different jobs available in this field. These different jobs provide vast experience and exposure which help in providing more hands-on skills and enhancing the ones already present with the individual.

Different jobs in this field

There are various jobs present in this field and choosing one depends on the interest of the individual or the demand of the specific job. Some of the major different kinds of jobs present in this filed are mentioned below. 

Non-Clinical Jobs

If an individual is not interested in interacting with different patients and a lot of people than non-clinical jobs are the best options present. They are also known as industry jobs providing products or services and even health care facilities. Non-clinical jobs usually include jobs like receptionists, technicians, administrative positions and medical recruiters. 

Clinical Jobs

Clinical jobs require face to face interaction with the patients for diagnosis of their condition and their treatment as well. It requires certification and licensing as well.  Usually, Hospitalist, physicians, nurse practitioners, surgical assistants are included in clinical jobs. 

Nursing Jobs

Even in nursing, there are different categories of nursing roles and anyone thinking of going for this role should make sure to have complete knowledge about that particular role and have the required education and certification. There are clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, travel registered nurse, operating room nurse and many others. 

Allied Health Care jobs

Jobs that are in this division include the jobs of technicians mainly like cardiovascular tech, medical assistant, dialysis technician, surgical tech, ultrasound technician and many more. These jobs require a lot of interaction with the patients while assisting the nurses or doctors and are part of the team as well. Another job duty in this allied health care job includes knowing how to use different kinds of equipment that are required during a procedure.
